Foreign Aid Keeps U.S. Safe

The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL) is a nonpartisan coalition pushing for bold U.S. investments in development, diplomacy, and foreign aid to meet today’s global challenges.

Why We Fight

For the first time in 20 years, Congress has failed to reauthorize PEPFAR — the landmark program that has saved over 26 million lives from HIV/AIDS. If we don't act, the UN warns that up to 6 million lives could be lost in just the next four years. We can’t, and won’t, let that happen without a fight.
