Dr. Manuel Reinert is an international relations scholar-practitioner dedicated to the intersection of international development, security, and humanitarian affairs. At the World Bank Group, he helped shape multilateral partnership strategies and drove strategic resource mobilization for global initiatives. Previously, he served as a diplomat and research officer with the French MFA, where he managed analysis on governance, political violence, and counterterrorism in West Africa.
Dr. Reinert grounds his policy work in fieldwork across complex and fragile environments, including the Sahel, the Middle East, and Latin America. Currently an Adjunct Professor of International Relations at FIU and CUNY, he teaches courses on global governance, human rights, and U.S. foreign policy. In these roles, and through collaborative projects with partners like UNHCR, the World Bank, and U.S. agencies, he bridges the gap between theoretical analysis and practical policy application. He holds a PhD and an MPhil in International Relations from American University, as well as MA and BA degrees from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.
