Malis Rasmussen is a regulatory leader with expertise in financial oversight and a longstanding commitment to international philanthropy. She is dedicated to advancing accountable foreign aid and improving outcomes for families in the United States and around the world.

Malis is a former Deputy Director and Chief Financial Examiner of the Financial Regulation & Licensing Division of the Utah Insurance Department, where she was responsible for the solvency oversight of Utah domiciled insurance companies. She is currently a Financial Regulation Senior Supervisor at The INS Companies and a Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metrics Alliance, LLC. She holds a Master’s in Accounting, Certified Financial Examiner, and Senior Professional in Insurance Regulation designations. She currently serves as Chairperson on the Supervisory Committee of Utah First Federal Credit Union, and is a member of the Board of Governors, the Executive Committee, and Co-Chair of Career Development Seminar Committee, of the Society of Financial Examiners. In addition, she is the Treasurer/Board Member of Camp Hobe, and the Treasurer of Federal Career Connection, Inc. 

In 2020, Malis was awarded with the Utah Governor’s Award for Excellence for Innovation and Efficiency in recognition of her innovative and efficient business model and leadership approach, in addition to her outstanding public service and achievement that display dedication to the citizens of Utah. In 2022, her leadership and achievements were recognized and honored at the 4th Annual Gala, a Celebration of Empowerment and Excellence Global Awards. Malis devotes her free time to her family and various charity projects, which aim to improve the lives of children and struggling families in Cambodia.

Beyond her professional achievements, Malis is deeply engaged in philanthropic efforts supporting children and underserved families in Cambodia. Her personal commitment to international development, positions her as a powerful advocate for more efficient and impactful foreign aid.
