Bakhtawar Munir serves as Director of Institutional Affairs at the Alliance for American Leadership, where she leads the organization’s Institutional Affairs function and supports external engagement and representation.

Her work at A4AL began in legislative affairs, where she tracked federal action and analyzed developments concerning U.S. foreign assistance. She helped lead constituent meetings during A4AL’s Hill Day and contributed research used in memos to Congressional staff during State Department budget hearings. She has also attended foreign-policy talks on behalf of A4AL and contributed to public Q&A on emerging international-affairs challenges.

As Director, she works to deepen A4AL’s institutional relationships, plan events around foreign assistance, and broaden the organization’s participation in the foreign policy conversation.
