WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Congressman Dave Min (D-Calif.) for reelection in California's 47th Congressional District, citing his opposition to foreign-assistance cuts, defense of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and commitment to strengthening American diplomacy and international security.
Representing Orange County, Min serves on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the House Natural Resources Committee, and the Joint Economic Committee. Since taking office in 2025, he has consistently defended USAID and opposed cuts to international development and foreign aid.
Min has also backed key efforts to assist Ukraine and counter foreign aggression, supporting security and reconstruction aid while voting for strict sanctions against Russia and Iran.
“I believe Congress must do all that we can to help Ukraine and stop Russian aggression,” Min said in a September 2026 statement explaining his support for the sanctions legislation.
Min's commitment to diplomatic engagement extends to the Korean Peninsula. As a cosponsor of the Peace on the Korean Peninsula Act, he has supported efforts to formally end the Korean War and encourage a diplomatic roadmap toward lasting peace between North and South Korea. His advocacy also reflects the experiences of Korean American families who have remained separated by the conflict for generations.
“We are long past 1953. It is long overdue that we establish peace and hopefully, reunification,” Min said during a February 2025 press conference supporting the legislation.
