WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Congressman Jared Moskowitz (D-Fla.) in Florida’s 25th Congressional District, citing his leadership on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, defense of international development, and commitment to maintaining American global leadership.
A4AL is playing a growing role in Florida politics. Rep. Lois Frankel recently noted, “their volunteers made more than 100,000 calls to support my reelection. Our future lies with young Americans, and watching them mobilize for compassionate American leadership in the world gives me real hope.”
Moskowitz, currently representing Florida’s 23rd Congressional District, is running in the newly drawn 25th District. Rated a Toss Up with an R+3 index by The Cook Political Report. This contest could determine control of the House.
On the Foreign Affairs Committee, Moskowitz advocates for diplomacy and development while insisting on rigorous oversight.
“There's waste, fraud, and abuse, and we owe it to the American people, by the way, to eliminate that waste, fraud, and abuse. There's no excuse for that,” Moskowitz said at the March hearing. “But in the search of trying to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse doesn't mean we should get rid of an entire agency. No, we should eliminate the waste, fraud, and abuse from those agencies because all of these agencies still have important functions.”
