WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Rick Larsen (D-Wash.) for reelection in Washington's 2nd Congressional District, citing his defense of congressionally approved foreign assistance, support for Ukraine, and longstanding commitment to American diplomatic and security partnerships.

Representing Northwest Washington since 2001, Larsen brings extensive expertise in trade and national security through his leadership on the House Transportation Committee, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and as co-chair of the U.S.-China Working Group.

Larsen has consistently defended U.S. foreign assistance and USAID, joining a congressional legal brief against USAID’s dismantling and voting against the Rescissions Act of 2025 to protect global aid funding.

A strong advocate for Ukraine, he supported the 2024 Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act and the 2026 Ukraine Support Act to maintain vital military, economic, and humanitarian aid.

“In word and in action, the U.S. must continue to stand up for the young democracy in Ukraine,” Larsen said in an April 2025 statement. He also pledged to continue supporting Ukrainian families living in Northwest Washington and across the country.
