WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Congresswoman Andrea Salinas (D-Ore.) for reelection in Oregon's 6th Congressional District, citing her commitment to diplomacy, support for humanitarian assistance, defense of democratic allies, and advocacy for human rights and international cooperation.
Throughout her tenure, Salinas has championed diplomacy, humanitarian aid, and international cooperation as essential to U.S. national security.
“I believe diplomacy must be the cornerstone of all foreign policy,” Salinas states on her official congressional website.
Salinas's legislative record backs this commitment. In June 2025, she voted against the Rescissions Act, which cut billions in foreign aid, and later opposed the FY 2027 State Department Appropriations Act over concerns regarding military action and international women's health provisions. She also actively supports strategic aid to Ukraine in defense of its sovereignty.
“I have supported strategic humanitarian, economic, and defense aid to support the people of Ukraine and will continue to do so until peace is restored,” Salinas states on her congressional website.
Salinas has also advocated for diplomatic solutions in Gaza, calling for increased humanitarian aid, hostage releases, and a lasting peace. In August 2026, she co-led 63 colleagues in pressing the administration for updates on its Gaza peace plan, reflecting her commitment to protecting human dignity and prioritizing diplomacy.
