WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Congresswoman Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) for reelection in Massachusetts' 5th Congressional District, citing her leadership in defending American diplomatic engagement, protecting international humanitarian assistance, and supporting democratic allies confronting threats to global security.
Serving in Congress since 2013, Clark is the House Democratic Whip. In this role, she shapes key legislative priorities on national security, domestic issues, and international responsibility. Throughout her career, she has advocated for foreign policy that balances national security with diplomacy, humanitarian aid, and support for democratic institutions. During the April 2024 national security package debate, Clark strongly supported delivering vital humanitarian relief to civilians in conflict zones.
“The humanitarian aid in this package is vital to relieving their pain, saving their lives, and securing their children's future,” Clark said during House floor remarks.
Clark has consistently defended U.S. foreign assistance, voting against foreign aid budget cuts in 2025 and 2026. She also supported the 2026 Ukraine Support Act to provide security, reconstruction aid, and sanctions against Russia.
Her advocacy highlights how supporting global diplomacy, humanitarian aid, and democratic security directly strengthens national security and advances stability worldwide.
