WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Congresswoman Kathy Castor (D-Fla.) for reelection in Florida's 14th Congressional District, citing her leadership in advancing diplomatic engagement, supporting humanitarian assistance, strengthening international partnerships, and protecting American national security.
Representing Tampa Bay since 2007, Castor focuses on economic opportunity, national security, and global cooperation. As Ranking Member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee's Energy Subcommittee and member of the Select Committee on the CCP, she works to advance U.S. competitiveness and energy security.
She has also consistently championed diplomatic engagement and humanitarian ties between the U.S. and Cuba.
As co-chair of the bipartisan Cuba Working Group and the lead Democratic sponsor of legislation seeking to end the U.S. embargo, Castor has continued advocating for diplomatic engagement as an alternative to decades of isolation.
Castor’s commitment to international assistance is reflected in her voting record. She voted against both the 2025 Rescissions Act and the FY2027 State-Foreign Operations Appropriations Act to protect critical foreign aid and development funding. Additionally, she supported the April 2024 national security supplemental to deliver vital security and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
