WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan political action committee advocating for U.S. diplomacy, development, and humanitarian assistance, today endorsed Congresswoman Emily Randall (D-Wash.) for reelection in Washington’s 6th Congressional District, citing her commitment to restoring U.S. foreign assistance, strengthening diplomacy and development, protecting American national security, and supporting humanitarian leadership.
Randall has made it clear she wants to see USAID back on its feet with the funding to match. She opposed the 2025 cuts, and she's backing our “Two Penny Pledge” to dedicate 2% of the federal budget toward diplomacy and development. For her, this isn’t just policy—it's about the basic idea that everyone deserves a shot at safety and dignity.
“It comes down to a pretty basic belief: everyone deserves a shot at a decent life,” Randall said in her A4AL questionnaire. “When we lead by stepping up to fight hunger and poverty globally, we make the world safer and we live up to our own values.”
“Congresswoman Randall understands that foreign assistance is not charity, it is an investment in American security, American workers, and American leadership,” said Asher Moss, founder and executive director of A4AL. “Her commitment to restoring USAID, strengthening diplomacy and development, and supporting locally led, results-driven assistance reflects the kind of leadership we need in Congress. We are proud to endorse her reelection and mobilize our movement behind her.”
The Alliance for American Leadership is a coalition of more than 2,000 volunteers and 100,000 Substack subscribers, including veterans, former USAID employees, students, and citizens dedicated to diplomacy and development. Interns at the PAC make over 6,000 phone calls a day for endorsed candidates, and the team is committed to mobilizing a new generation of foreign policy leaders.
