WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a PAC advocating for U.S. diplomacy, development, and humanitarian assistance, today endorsed Congressman Kevin Kiley for reelection in California’s 3rd Congressional District, citing his commitment to American leadership abroad, diplomacy and development, and Congress’s constitutional authority over federal spending.

Kiley has consistently advocated for a strong U.S. presence abroad and worked across party lines, including providing the key 218th signature to force consideration of the Ukraine Support Act, which passed the House in June.

A staunch defender of Congress’s constitutional authority over federal spending, Kiley co-led efforts urging the Office of Management and Budget to release $3.2 billion in appropriated international assistance, emphasizing that foreign aid protects national security and strengthens global alliances.

“Congressman Kiley has shown that support for diplomacy and development does not belong to one political party, it is part of protecting America’s interests and maintaining American leadership,” said Asher Moss, founder and executive director of A4AL. “He understands that Congress has a responsibility to defend its power of the purse and that funds appropriated by Congress should be used for the purposes Congress authorized. At a time when foreign assistance has become increasingly politicized, Congressman Kiley’s willingness to support effective international engagement and work across party lines represents the kind of leadership our movement wants to support.”
