WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-N.M.) for reelection to the United States Senate.

The endorsement recognizes Luján's support for humanitarian relief, assistance to America's international partners, congressional oversight of security assistance, and a foreign policy that connects American national security with global stability and democratic cooperation.

Throughout his service, Luján has emphasized that American leadership requires defending democratic partners, supporting humanitarian relief, and protecting civilians in conflict zones.

In February 2024, Luján voted for a national security package aiding Ukraine, Israel, partners in the Indo-Pacific, and civilians in Gaza, stating, “The United States holds a responsibility as a global power to support our allies in the fight for democracy and to deliver critical humanitarian aid to civilians.”

His advocacy demonstrates the importance of incorporating humanitarian considerations into American foreign-policy decisions, particularly when civilians face displacement, hunger, and disruptions to essential services.
