WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL), a bipartisan coalition of 150,000 veterans, students, and citizens today endorsed of U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) for reelection, citing his leadership in protecting international humanitarian assistance, defending programs serving vulnerable children, and supporting agricultural research that connects Georgia's universities and farmers to global food security efforts.
Since taking office in 2021, Ossoff has prioritized government accountability, child welfare, economic opportunity, and Georgia families. In July 2025, he introduced an amendment to the Rescissions Act of 2025 to safeguard UNICEF funding for lifesaving nutrition, water, and essential services in over 130 countries. Although the amendment failed and he voted against the final rescissions package, his efforts to protect children in conflict zones earned him recognition as a 2025 Champion for Children by UNICEF USA.
Ossoff has also protected programs connected to Georgia's agricultural economy. In March 2025, he urged the administration to restore funding for the USAID-supported Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Peanut at the University of Georgia, which links university research with global food security efforts.
His work highlights how foreign assistance protects vulnerable populations, supports American universities, and strengthens global partnerships.
“Senator Jon Ossoff understands that American leadership means protecting vulnerable children, investing in food security, and ensuring that our international partnerships deliver meaningful results,” said Asher Moss, founder and executive director of the Alliance for American Leadership. “His efforts to safeguard UNICEF funding and defend international agricultural research demonstrate that foreign assistance is not simply an investment overseas. It also strengthens American institutions, supports innovation, and helps build a safer, more stable world. A4AL is proud to endorse his continued leadership in the United States Senate.”
